About Anita

Anita Thompson is a partner at TLE Law who advises corporations on governance, financing, and commercial leasing, and drafts and reviews contracts including joint venture and partnership agreements. She advises Indigenous communities on trusts, governance, specific claims, impact benefit agreements, and consultation agreements. She jointly represented five Treaty 8 First Nations in a roughly $350 million agricultural benefits settlement and is currently representing First Nation clients in claims valued at over $1 billion. Before establishing TLE Law, she was a partner at an Edmonton firm practicing corporate and Aboriginal law. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2014 and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in 2010, and was called to the bar in 2015.
