About Emma

Emma Toporowski is an associate lawyer at Purser Law practicing criminal defence in Edmonton. She holds a philosophy degree from the University of Victoria, where she graduated with distinction and received the President's Scholarship, and earned her law degree from the University of Alberta. During law school she volunteered extensively with Student Legal Services, serving two years as a full-time Dayleader and receiving the Class of 1971 Award for her leadership. After graduating she completed a clerkship in the Alberta Court of Justice's Criminal Division before articling and then joining Purser Law as an associate in late 2024. She accepts Criminal Code, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, quasi-criminal, and regulatory files.
