About Amy
Amy Bassili is the founder of Bassili Law, a fully remote Edmonton firm serving Alberta clients in employment law, human rights and business litigation. Her practice covers all aspects of the employer-employee relationship, including privacy matters, wrongful and constructive dismissal claims, workplace investigations, non-solicitation and non-competition agreements, employment standards complaints and human rights disputes. Amy also handles business litigation, including complex commercial matters involving investment fraud, contract law and tort claims, and she has appeared at all levels of Alberta court, including as counsel in a four-week trial and subsequent appeal over a business valuation dispute involving 17 million dollars in damages. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Law Society of the Northwest Territories, the Edmonton Bar Association, the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association and the Canadian Bar Association, where she sits on the executive of the Labour and Employment Subsection and on the Administration of Justice and Civil Litigation subsections. Amy regularly presents at continuing education seminars for the Canadian Bar Association and community organizations, and she volunteers as a vision mate with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
