About Emma
Emma Newbery is an associate in both the Financial Services and Restructuring and Insolvency groups of Osler's Vancouver office. Her practice centres on commercial lending, helping financial institutions, private lenders and borrowers negotiate and prepare loan documentation. Emma also advises companies undergoing restructuring, along with trustees, receivers, lenders and other creditors, in insolvency proceedings under statutes such as the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, and in both court-supervised and private receiverships. She holds a J.D. (Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa and a B.A. (Hons) from Western University.
