About Jason

Jason Johnson grew up in Brantford, Ontario, and graduated with high distinction from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours BA in Criminology, along with an option in Law and a minor in Human Rights. He went on to the University of Ottawa for his law degree between 2018 and 2021, during which he and a colleague won Best Moot Team at the 2018 Nelligan O'Brien Payne Moot Court Competition; he's since judged moot competitions and mock trials himself. Since being called to the Ontario Bar in 2022, Jason has returned to southern Ontario to represent clients in family law, child protection, and criminal law matters. As a law student in 2019 he worked with the legal department of the Children's Aid Society of Ottawa, experience he now draws on when CAS becomes involved in his clients' cases.
