About Emilie

Emilie Cook practises primarily in criminal defence, along with administrative and regulatory work before the Licence Suspension Appeal Board, Driver Fitness (MPI), and other quasi-criminal tribunals. She has represented clients at all levels of court in Manitoba up to the Court of Appeal, accepting both private and Legal Aid clients, and she is also a notary public. Before law school, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 2011 and a Doctor of Medical Dentistry in 2015, and practised dentistry, including pediatric dentistry, in Winnipeg's North End for two years. She graduated from the Robson Hall Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba in 2021 and was called to the bar in 2022. She founded and served as President of the Robson Hall Animal Rights Forum, and she is Secretary of the Manitoba Criminal Justice Association and a board member of the Tamarack Recovery Centre.
