Family LawCandace Olson earned an Advanced Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology from the University of Manitoba in 2009, followed by a second degree in Criminology and Native Studies in 2010. She began law school at the University of North Dakota, where she won an award for the highest grade in Constitutional Law, before transferring to the Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba to complete her Juris Doctor. She was called to the bar in 2014 and practises primarily in criminal law, having previously articled for Brodsky and Company and worked for Martin White Manning Newman. Her practice covers property offences, assaults, sexual offences, impaired driving, drug offences, weapons offences, and murder, as well as quasi-criminal offences under the Highway Traffic Act and child protection matters. She is a member of the Criminal Defence Lawyers' Association of Manitoba and serves as a board member for Macdonald Youth Services.
