About Shaylan

Shaylan Cottick was called to the bar in 2021 and joined KMMG Law in 2025, practising primarily in family law and also offering real estate and wills services. Before joining KMMG, she practised for four years with a firm in Brandon and then a mid-size Winnipeg firm, gaining experience across a range of legal areas. Originally from Dauphin, Manitoba, she earned her Bachelor of Arts and law degree from the University of Manitoba. She favours negotiated resolutions outside of court and takes a collaborative approach to minimize conflict for her clients.
