About Bob

Bob Sokalski was called to the bar in 1980 and practices corporate and commercial litigation, contract disputes, and product liability matters, along with employment litigation, injunctive relief, judicial review, and professional discipline and negligence cases. He has particular experience in media law and sports law, having lectured on media law at Red River College and chaired the Manitoba Bar Association's Media Law Subsection. Sokalski has been lead counsel in more than 100 reported cases in addition to numerous unreported arbitration and discipline decisions, and is frequently quoted in legal journals and other media. He earned his LL.B. from the University of Manitoba. He has been active with Special Olympics Manitoba as past president, and has served on the boards of the Riverview Health Centre Foundation, the Winnipeg Blue Bomber Alumni Association, and the Winnipeg Steelers hockey club.
