About James

James (Jamie) Gilmore grew up in India and completed his primary and secondary schooling at Woodstock School before attending Barrie Central Collegiate for Grade 13. He studied at the University of Toronto's Trinity College and earned his law degree from the University of Windsor. Jamie has practiced law in Simcoe County for over thirty years, starting his own practice in Stayner in 1982 before relocating to Alliston in 1986. He previously practiced criminal law, family law and civil litigation, and has appeared in all levels of court in Ontario. His current practice concentrates on estate law, estate litigation and estate administration, wills, powers of attorney and estate planning, along with business law covering corporate matters and business purchases and sales. Jamie also serves as the firm's computer and systems manager, applying technology to streamline client service.
