About Emily
Emily Sheard is an associate lawyer practising primarily in strata law, handling both solicitor and barrister work for strata corporations and owners, including bylaw drafting and governance advice. She works closely with senior lawyer Elaine McCormack on bylaw enforcement, unauthorized alterations, human rights matters and recovery of monies owed to strata corporations. She has also assisted clients with real property matters such as easements and covenants, Residential Tenancy Branch matters, and wills and estates issues, and has appeared at all levels of Superior Court in British Columbia on strata matters. She has co-authored articles for The Scrivener, the CHOA Journal and the Strata-sphere magazine. She was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2020, holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa (2019), and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba (2016).
