Cora D. Wilson is co-founder of Wilson McCormack Law Group and practises as a strata lawyer, educator, and publisher and editor of Voice from the Strata-Sphere since 1998. She co-authored the book Strata Property Act, A Practical Guide to Bylaws. She was called to the bar in Ontario in 1986 and was later admitted to the bar in British Columbia in 1991, and has worked on wet building syndrome cases, general litigation, dispute resolution, governance, financing, collections and administrator appointments. She represented the administrator in the precedent-setting Avia West Resort Club v. Strata Plan LMS1863 case, which reached the BC Court of Appeal, and since 1999 has represented numerous strata corporations claiming damages related to wet building syndrome. She is a regular guest speaker for the Condominium Home Owners Association and has taught strata issues at Malaspina University College (now Vancouver Island University) and for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia. She holds an LL.B. from the University of Windsor (1984) and is a founding board member of the Celebrity Lights Foundation, a charity that raised funds for breast cancer research.
