About Edward

Edward Rowe is a partner in Osler's National Tax Group, working out of the Calgary office. His practice focuses on corporate and international tax planning, advising Canadian and foreign-based multinational groups on inbound and outbound investment, financing, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and natural resource taxation. He also handles the resolution of tax disputes, including matters involving the Canada Revenue Agency's General Anti-Avoidance Rule and Canadian Competent Authority proceedings, and has acted as counsel in tax cases before courts at all levels. Rowe has served through Executive Interchange, acting as special adviser to the Department of Finance's Tax Policy Branch on resource tax and corporate reorganization issues.
