Business & Corporate LawDouglas B. Richardson, K.C., is of counsel at W Law with more than 40 years of legal practice in Saskatchewan. Early in his career he worked in criminal defence and child advocacy, and he later served as counsel on major provincial matters including the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority and the privatization of the Potash Corporation. He was named counsel to the University of Saskatchewan for more than a decade, work that included helping bring the Canadian Light Source Synchrotron to campus, and he has twice served in Ottawa, including as Chief of Staff to a former Canadian Prime Minister. He earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan in 1975 and was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 1976. He chairs Persephone Theatre, advises VIDO on Canada's National Pandemic Centre, and has received three Queen's Jubilee medals.
