About Donna

Donna Neff recently retired after more than 20 years practicing as an estates and trusts lawyer. She came to law later in life, after earlier careers as a teacher and then as a consultant and project manager in the high-tech industry, before returning to the University of Ottawa to complete her law degree in 1994. Her practice focused on helping clients plan for illness, incapacity, and death, with a particular interest in assisting individuals with disabilities. She was a Certified Specialist in Estates and Trusts Law and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and presented seminars on estate planning, guardianship, and legal technology. She now lives with her husband in a rural area of Ottawa and enjoys time with her grandchildren, canoeing, hiking, and camping.
