About Donald
Donald C. Murray, Q.C. focuses his practice on representing individuals and companies facing a full range of criminal and regulatory charges, both federal and provincial, including the most serious Criminal Code offences such as homicide. He has appeared regularly before the Nova Scotia Provincial and Supreme Courts, the Federal Court, the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Donald began his legal career at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic and has since served for a decade as a Board of Inquiry member under the Nova Scotia Human Rights Act, and currently as an Adjudicator under the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement. He earned a B.A. (Hons.) from Mount Allison University in 1977 and an LL.B. from Dalhousie University in 1984, and has taught evidence and professional responsibility at Dalhousie Law School. He is a longtime member of the Canadian Bar Association and has served on the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society Council and several of its committees.
