About Don
Don McKnight has practised law in Victoria for nearly four decades, focusing on civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, occupiers' liability, and product liability. He also handles estate litigation, wrongful dismissal, defamation, partnership and contract disputes, insurance law, and collections. He earned a B.A. in History (with distinction) from the University of Victoria in 1983 and his LL.B. from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law in 1985, and was called to the bar in 1986. He has served as Past Chair of the Canadian Bar Association's Civil Litigation Section (Vancouver Island) and as former counsel to the Private Investigators Association of British Columbia. Don operates his practice through Donald D. McKnight Law Corporation under the banner "McKnight Law," one of the two firms that came together to form HALO.
