About David

David Sterns is a partner at Sotos LLP whose practice covers complex, multi-party, and class proceedings, particularly those involving competition, price fixing, and privacy breaches. He also advises automotive manufacturers and dealers, with particular experience in arbitrations under the National Automotive Dealer Arbitration Process. A bilingual lawyer, David represents clients in both English and French. He earned his B.C.L./LL.B. from McGill University in 1991 after completing a BA in economics there in 1987, and he was called to the Quebec bar in 1992 and the Ontario bar in 1994. David served as President of the Ontario Bar Association from 2016 to 2017 and has held several other roles within the OBA, including chair of its Civil Litigation Section. He speaks regularly at legal conferences and is often quoted in the media on civil justice issues.
