About James

James (Jim) Fraser has practised law in Burnaby for over 40 years, with a practice concentrated in wills and estates, probate, adult guardianship, business law, and taxation law. He also serves as a notary public, handling document authentication and notarization for individuals and businesses in the Burnaby Metrotown area and across the Lower Mainland. His guardianship work focuses on the personal care and asset management of elderly clients experiencing declining capacity. Fraser has been a member of the Canadian Bar Association since 1979 and chaired its Greater Vancouver Wills and Trusts Section in 2004-05. He also served on the CBA's National Wills, Estates and Trusts Section and its BC Provincial Council, and teaches wills and estates topics to new lawyers through the Law Society of BC's Professional Legal Training Course.
