About Carla
Carla Lewis is a senior family lawyer, litigator and dispute resolution professional practising in Vancouver. She is a Law Society certified mediator, parenting coordinator and family law arbitrator, and also practises collaborative family law and prepares Hear the Child reports. She graduated from law school in 1984 and was called to the bar in Manitoba in 1985 and in British Columbia in 1990, giving her more than thirty years in practice. Lewis has taught or presented for organizations including Continuing Legal Education BC, the Professional Legal Training Course and the Trial Lawyers Association of BC. She has volunteered with groups such as the Canadian Bar Association, West Coast Legal Education and Action Fund, Access Pro Bono and Battered Women's Support Services, and currently sits on the board of the Hear the Child Society.
