About David

David Martin grew up in North Vancouver and has practised law in Vancouver since 1995. He has spent most of his career in private practice, with a period as in-house counsel for a fast-paced, family-owned company with business interests across Canada. His practice covers general corporate and commercial matters, with a focus on commercial real estate and lending, and he has acted as lead counsel on transactions including the $130-million sale of an Alberta apartment complex and loan security for hotels in Vancouver, Calgary, and at a BC airport. He obtained his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia, where he later served as an adjunct professor from 2006 to 2011, and was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 1995. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Urban Land Institute, and formerly chaired the Urban Land Institute of British Columbia.
