About David

David Delle Fave is an associate and prison lawyer at Smith Litkowski who defends clients facing a wide range of criminal charges, with trial experience at both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. As part of the firm's prison law team, he has represented clients at provincial and federal parole hearings and institutional misconduct hearings, and has assisted senior counsel with judicial reviews of parole ineligibility. David joined Smith Litkowski after completing his articles and has worked there since the firm was founded, having previously studied at two other Toronto criminal defence firms. He earned his JD from the University of Windsor in 2023, specializing in criminal law, evidence, and trial advocacy, and represented the school at the Gale Cup moot before mentoring later student teams. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2024 and belongs to the Criminal Lawyers Association.
