About David

David Sliman is Associate Counsel in Waterstone's Litigation Group, focusing on civil litigation with an emphasis on estate litigation. He is the founding partner of Waterstone Law Group LLP, changing his designation from Partner to Associate Counsel on January 1, 2026 after 38 years of practice. He has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia, including before administrative tribunals, and is a current member and former director of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia. Sliman was born in Vancouver and raised in Chilliwack, earned his BA and LLB from the University of British Columbia, and was called to the bar in 1988. After some years practising in Vancouver, he returned to Chilliwack in 1991, where he eventually founded the firm that became Waterstone Law Group LLP. He is a past president of the Chilliwack Mt. Cheam Rotary Club and has served on the boards of several local non-profit organizations.
