About David

David Baker is associate counsel in the Labour & Employment and Human Rights Groups, with a legal career spanning more than four decades in human rights and disability rights law. He argued landmark cases before the Supreme Court of Canada, including Council of Canadians with Disabilities v. VIA Rail and Grismer v. Superintendent of Motor Vehicles, and founded ARCH (Advocacy Resource Centre for the Handicapped). Today he focuses on constitutional cases and class actions addressing disability discrimination.
