David A. Seville is a partner who co-heads the firm's Capital Markets Practice, working on capital markets transactions across Canada, the United States and internationally. He advises issuers and underwriters on public equity and debt offerings, both within Canada and across borders, as well as private placements, and counsels clients on continuous disclosure obligations, corporate governance questions and regulatory matters affecting financial institutions. David has particular experience with regulatory capital instruments used by financial institutions, including limited recourse capital notes, Canada's bank recapitalization or bail-in regime, and non-viability contingent capital instruments. He also assists public companies, family offices, private equity firms and pension funds with acquisitions, dispositions, shareholder arrangements and reorganizations. He has done pro bono work for Right To Play International, as well as Bay Street Sports, and he was also involved in getting the Canadian Women's Hockey League off the ground.
