About Daniel

Daniel Cohen is a partner in Goodmans' Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. He has extensive experience with class actions, complex commercial and regulatory disputes, construction law, defamation, and trademark law, routinely acting for large and mid-size corporations. Daniel has acted both for and against the Ontario government and its regulatory bodies, and has acted against the federal government in negligence and judicial review proceedings, including obtaining injunctive relief in fraud cases. He has appeared in arbitrations and mediations and before all levels of court, including the Ontario and Federal Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Daniel served as pro bono counsel to intervenors in a Supreme Court of Canada appeal involving judicial review of a high-profile deportation matter. He has authored client updates on class actions and trademark law and previously chaired the firm's Associates Committee.
