About David

David Carter helped found Grechi Carter Professional Corporation and now co-manages its real estate department, where his files center on private and commercial mortgage financing and mortgage enforcement work. He received a BA from McGill in 2008, completed an International Public Law Certificate through Queen's University's Herstmonceaux program in 2009, and earned his J.D. from Queen's in 2011. Carter has co-authored two real estate law texts, Real Estate Transactions (2nd Edition) and Carter On Easements, along with papers published through the Law Society of Ontario on topics such as time of the essence, outstanding building permits, construction financing, and mortgage priorities. He teaches as an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and the University of Toronto Law School, including in Osgoode's Professional LLM program in Financial Law, and instructs in the REALPAC/Toronto Metropolitan University Real Property Investment Certificate Program.
