About D.

D. Keith Smockum is a founding partner of Smockum Zarnett LLP and works as a trial and appellate lawyer, appearing regularly at all levels of court. Over three decades he has tried both jury and non-jury cases across Ontario involving motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, property loss, construction, and insurance coverage. He is Lexpert ranked in personal injury and commercial insurance and often speaks on trial tactics and insurance law. Keith was called to the Ontario bar in 1986 after earning his Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1984 and a Bachelor of Arts from York University in 1981. He belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Advocates' Society, the American Association for Justice, the Defense Research Institute, and Canadian Defence Lawyers.
