About Cynthia
Cynthia Yang is Of Counsel whose practice focuses on franchising and commercial transactions in Ontario. She has represented both franchisor and franchisee clients, advising franchisors on system creation and expansion, including cross-border and master franchising, and helping resolve franchise-related disputes. She also assists franchisees with buying and selling franchises and provides strategic counsel to executive teams overseeing intellectual property and real estate portfolios, along with support on marketing initiatives, corporate governance and M&A transactions. Cynthia holds a JD from the University of Toronto (2008) and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) from McMaster University (2005), and has worked with Crave It Restaurant Group and Extreme Brandz Group of Companies.
