About Christopher
Christopher Weafer has practised commercial law at Owen Bird for more than three decades, with expertise in energy law, communications law, utility regulation and commercial agreements for clients ranging from sole proprietorships to major corporations, governments and regulatory bodies including the BC Utilities Commission. Weafer has taught broadcasting and telecommunications law as an adjunct professor at Simon Fraser University and UBC, received the Friend of the Industry Award twice from the BC Association of Broadcasters, and served as national chair of the Canadian Bar Association's Media and Communications Law section.
