About Christopher

Christopher Murdy is Of Counsel at Lidstone & Company, having retired from active practice but remaining available to lead the firm's mentorship program. He practised exclusively on behalf of local governments from 1984, after being called to the bar in British Columbia in 1983. Murdy holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Civil Law with First Class Honours from the University of Oxford. His mixed solicitor's and barrister's practice covered conflict of interest, public-private partnerships, complex developments, bylaw challenges, and subdivision appeals, and he appeared at all levels of court in Canada, including the Supreme Court of Canada, on behalf of local government clients.
