About Christopher
Christopher McKibbin practises insurance law with a focus on fidelity, commercial crime, and financial institution bond matters, along with fraud recovery, complex coverage disputes, and defending insureds under errors and omissions policies. Chambers and Partners has ranked him among Canada's insurance dispute resolution lawyers for several consecutive years, and Lexpert named him a Leading Lawyer to Watch in commercial insurance litigation. He has worked on many of Canada's significant fidelity coverage cases since 2003, including counsel work tied to the Scott Rothstein Ponzi scheme litigation and the Iroquois Falls Community Credit Union appeal. In his fraud recovery practice, he pursues Mareva injunctions and Norwich orders to trace stolen funds for both insurer and corporate clients. Chris co-authored Handling Fidelity Bond Claims, a major North American reference in the field, and serves as Vice-Chair of the ABA's Fidelity & Surety Law Committee. He earned his law degree at the University of Toronto and was called to the Ontario bar in 2003, receiving the Osgoode Prize as one of the province's top Bar Admission Course students.
