Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionChantal Thibodeau is a partner at Fidelis Law Droit in Moncton, originally from Campbellton, New Brunswick. She spent the first 22 years of her practice as insurance defence counsel before shifting to represent injured accident victims, and has appeared before all levels of court in New Brunswick as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. She earned her Bachelor of Law from the Universite de Moncton Faculty of Law and completed an Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop at Osgoode Hall Law School, and was admitted to the New Brunswick bar in 1999. She was appointed King's Counsel in 2017 and was named Lawyer of the Year in Moncton for insurance law in 2022 and for personal injury litigation in 2023. She belongs to the Law Society of New Brunswick, the Canadian Bar Association, the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association, and the Association des juristes d'expression francaise du Nouveau-Brunswick, and has served on several Law Society committees, including as vice-chair of its Complaints Committee.
