About Chad
Chad Horton is a partner at MacGillivray Law in Halifax with 15 years of experience in insurance and personal injury law. He previously worked as an insurance defense litigator, representing more than 20 major insurers and serving as counsel to one of Canada's largest property and casualty insurers, with appearances before the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Canada, and the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador. He joined MacGillivray Law as a partner in late 2020. He holds an LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick (2007) and a B.A. from Acadia University (2002), and he was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2008. He is a member of the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association.
