About Carrie
Carrie Styczen practiced at Thornborough Smeltz LLP from 1998 until 2005, rejoined the firm in 2015, and was appointed Managing Partner in 2019. She maintains a general practice with a focus on commercial transactions, corporate matters, commercial and residential real estate transactions, civil and estate litigation, and wills and estates, and has appeared at all levels of Alberta courts and before various boards and tribunals. Carrie sits on the board of several not-for-profit organizations, volunteers with Calgary Legal Guidance, and presents seminars on practice topics for the Legal Education Society of Alberta, and has instructed articling students seeking admission to the Alberta bar through CPLED. She earned her BA from the University of Calgary in 1994 and her LLB from the University of Manitoba in 1997, and was called to the Alberta bar in 1998.
