About Megan

Megan P. Zybutz joined Thornborough Smeltz LLP in 2007, bringing more than 13 years of experience in family law and wills and estates. Her family law practice covers divorce, custody, access, child support, spousal support, property division, and adoptions, and she prepares and drafts cohabitation, prenuptial, and separation agreements. Megan also serves as a Dispute Resolution Officer for Alberta Justice on an ongoing basis. She earned her JD from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 1993, her BA in Psychology from York University in 1989, and a Conflict Resolution Extension Certificate from Mount Royal University in 2019, and was called to the Alberta bar in 1994. Megan is a member of the ADR Institute of Alberta and the Alberta Family Mediation Society, and has volunteered with Calgary Legal Guidance for ten years.
