About Laurie

Laurie Stephen brings more than 32 years of experience to her practice in family law and wills and estates, along with experience in civil litigation and real estate. She has made hundreds of court appearances throughout Alberta, including Provincial Court, the Court of Queen's Bench, and the Court of Appeal, and is experienced in negotiating and drafting cohabitation agreements, separation agreements, wills, personal directives, and enduring powers of attorney. Laurie also helps clients use alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and arbitration. She earned her BA from the University of Calgary in 1984 and her LLB from the same school in 1987, and was called to the Alberta bar in 1988. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Alberta.
