About Caroline

Caroline Abela is a partner whose litigation practice centers on complex commercial disputes, asset recovery, and estates litigation. She's known for tracing and recovering assets in commercial conflicts and contested estates, and she advises corporations, institutions, fiduciaries, and business owners on fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and shareholder and partnership disputes. Caroline has appeared before every level of court in Ontario and before the Federal Court of Canada, and also maintains an active arbitration and mediation practice. She's listed in the Lexology Index for Asset Recovery, the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, and Best Lawyers in Canada for corporate and commercial litigation. Caroline earned her LLB from the University of Western Ontario in 2000 and a BA with honours from the University of Toronto in 1997, was called to the Ontario bar in 2002, and previously served as President of The Advocates' Society.
