About Carly

Carly Poissant is a lawyer at HHBG Lawyers practising labour, employment, and human rights law, including matters before the BC Employment Standards Branch, the BC Labour Relations Board, the BC Supreme Court, and the BC Human Rights Tribunal, as well as federally regulated matters under the Canada Labour Code. Carly articled at HHBG and joined the firm as a lawyer in 2017, after working in a provincial union's legal department and serving on its bargaining committee. Carly earned a law degree from Bond University in Australia, receiving First in Class awards for Evidence and Banking and Finance Law, and a Bachelor of Political Science (Honours) from the University of Ottawa. Carly currently serves as Co-President of the Surrey Women's Centre Board of Directors and is currently on a leave of absence as a non-practising lawyer.
