About Candace

Candace Santaguida joined McCarthy Hansen & Company as an associate in 2024. She advises clients on family law issues such as parenting disputes, property division, spousal and child support, and separation agreements, along with marriage contracts and cohabitation agreements. She began her career at a full-service Toronto firm practising insurance defence and civil litigation, appearing before Ontario courts and tribunals and handling mediations and arbitrations, before shifting her focus to family law in 2022. Candace earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Toronto in 2014 and completed the Dual JD program at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy in 2018, receiving the Alvin D. From Memorial Scholarship in Civil Procedure and a faculty award recognizing her academic performance.
