About Bud
Bud Melnyk is a partner at Warren Sinclair LLP who has practised law in Red Deer since 1991. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce in 1985 and his law degree in 1990, both from the University of Alberta. His practice covers family and divorce law, civil, commercial, and estate litigation, civil enforcement and debt collection, and wills, estate planning, and trusts. He serves as a Bencher with the Law Society of Alberta and sits on the Family Law Rules Advisory Committee, and is a past president of the Central Alberta Bar Association. Bud has volunteered extensively in the community, including as Run Director for the Canadian Cancer Society's CIBC Run for the Cure since 2016, and has received the Law Society of Alberta and Canadian Bar Association's Distinguished Service Award as well as the Prism Award from the Central Alberta Community Legal Clinic for pro bono work.
