About Matthew

Matthew Benson is an associate at Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP with a general commercial litigation practice focused on construction law and employment litigation, and some estate litigation experience. He has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Small Claims Court of Ontario, the Ontario Superior Court, and the Ontario Court of Appeal, advising and arguing matters in both English and French. Before joining BD&P, Matthew practiced as a commercial litigator at a multi-service firm in Ottawa. He volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario and is a member of the Advocacy Club.
