About Brian

Brian advises employers across industries including transportation, manufacturing, construction, mining, financial services, healthcare, and telecommunications on labour and employment matters. His work includes concluding collective agreement settlements, handling executive level terminations, responding to unionization drives, and advising on drug and alcohol policies. He also litigates before labour arbitrators, labour boards, human rights tribunals, and courts at both the federal and provincial levels. Brian earned his LL.B. from Dalhousie University in 1980 and a BComm (honours with distinction) from Mount Allison University in 1977. He was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 1981 and holds the King's Counsel designation, awarded in 1998. He is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and has been recognized by Best Lawyers for labour and employment law in Halifax.
