About Brian

Brian J.E. Brock, K.C. was a founding partner of Dutton Brock LLP, where he practiced until his passing. He earned his BA from the University of Western Ontario and his LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School, was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1969, and was appointed King's Counsel in 1981. He held the Law Society of Ontario's Specialist in Civil Litigation designation and worked across commercial insurance, products liability, class actions, professional liability, and personal injury matters. He appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada on multiple occasions and regularly argued appeals at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Brian also taught as an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and taught Trial Practice at the University of Toronto. He served as president of the Toronto/County of York Law Association and the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto.
