Wills, Estates & TrustsWentzell is originally from Corner Brook and moved to St. John's for his university education. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce in 1990 and an MBA in 1992, both from Memorial University of Newfoundland, then worked as a business consultant before completing his law degree at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton in 1996. He articled with Collins & Associates and was called to the Bar of Newfoundland and Labrador in 1997. He practiced with Collins & Associates until William A. Collins, Q.C. retired in 2013, at which point he acquired the firm and renamed it Collins Wentzell. Wentzell is also a reserve legal officer with the Office of the Judge Advocate General, commissioned as a lieutenant (Navy) in 2007, and provides legal services to reserve force units across the province. His primary areas of practice are family, criminal, and real estate law, along with wills and estates and personal injury, including child, youth and family services matters.
