Administrative & Regulatory LawDave Hill has practiced civil litigation for 50 years, with a focus on corporate and commercial matters. He has appeared before trial courts in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and the Federal Court, as well as the Manitoba Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Tax Court of Canada, and as lead counsel on four occasions before the Supreme Court of Canada. He has taught agency and insurance law at the University of Manitoba Law School and was the first Manitoba litigator named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. His notable matters include misfeasance in public office, oppression remedy, and construction and taxation disputes, among others. Hill earned his B.A. from Dartmouth College in 1971 and his LL.B. from the University of Manitoba in 1975, where he was called to the bar the same year. Outside his practice, he has served on the boards of the Manitoba Heart & Stroke Foundation, St. Charles Country Club, St. John's Ravenscourt School, and the Winnipeg Football Club.
