Bankruptcy & InsolvencyKevin Toyne is a civil and appellate litigator who has appeared before the Manitoba Court of King's Bench, the Manitoba Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, the Supreme Court of Canada, and every level of court in Ontario. He was called to the bar in Ontario in 2004 and to the Manitoba Bar in 2015, and has experience before mediators, arbitrators, and professional discipline panels. Toyne taught Civil Procedure at Robson Hall Law School, University of Manitoba, from 2018 to 2021, and sits on the Cooperative Housing Appeal Tribunal and the Inquiry Committee of the College of Paramedics. His matters have included a municipal misfeasance claim against the City of Winnipeg, a shareholder-activism injunction, professional discipline defence, and a landmark trial under Manitoba's Intimate Image Protection Act. He earned his B.A. and LL.B. from the University of Manitoba and an LL.M. from York University in 2017, and serves as a board member of the Winnipeg Humane Society and Humane Canada.
