About Bethany
Bethany Nicholson is an associate at Gluckstein Lawyers in Ottawa who focuses on advocating for individuals and families harmed by medical negligence and birth injuries. She joined the firm as a summer student in 2021, articled there in 2022 after completing her J.D. at the University of Ottawa, and rejoined as an associate in 2023 following her call to the Ontario bar. Before law school she earned an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Dalhousie University with minors in Health Studies and Philosophy, and worked at a non-profit organization focused on patient advocacy in the healthcare sector. She graduated cum laude from the University of Ottawa and served as Vice President of the Health Law Students' Association while in school. Bethany draws on her health sciences background to help clients navigate complicated medical issues, and she now sits on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of the Ottawa Valley. She also volunteers with the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the Carleton County Law Association.
