About Benjamin
Benjamin Arkin is a partner at Arkin Furrow Estate Law LLP who has spent more than fifteen years resolving disputes involving wills, estates, trusts, incapacity, guardianships, and powers of attorney. He has represented clients through every stage of a case, from early negotiation and mediation through trial and appeal, and estate litigation is the only area he practises. Ben regularly chairs and speaks at professional development programs for lawyers and allied professionals, and he maintains a network of contacts who offer complementary expertise in estate and capacity matters. Having previously practised family law, he is well positioned to advise on where family and estate law intersect, including equalization claims on the death of a spouse and support issues. Ben believes every case demands its own strategy, but holds that a strong settlement requires being genuinely ready to go to trial if needed. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2006, holding a J.D. from the University of Toronto and a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from Queen's University.
