About Matthew
Matthew Furrow is a partner at Arkin Furrow Estate Law LLP, where his practice centers entirely on estate, trust, guardianship, and capacity disputes. He helps beneficiaries understand and enforce their rights, guides executors and trustees through their duties, and defends them when litigation arises. He also handles challenges to the validity of wills and powers of attorney and assists families seeking guardianship over loved ones who can no longer make decisions for themselves. After five years at a national firm and several more at a prominent Toronto litigation practice, he co-founded Arkin Furrow with Ben Arkin in 2019. Matthew has appeared at every level of court in Ontario and has written and lectured widely on estate law topics; the Ontario Court of Appeal has cited a paper he co-authored. He earned his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario bar in 2010.
